Purse Cake

I made this Channel purse cake for my sisters birthday. It was a real hit. This was my first attempt at making a 3-D cake and I thought it turned out great. I had so much fun making it although it took about 8 hours in total to make it, it was well worth it. The cake is vanilla with a lemon filling and covered in buttercream icing, overlayed with fondant icing along with fondant accents. Lipstick, nail polish, and roses are also made out of fondant.
